[NEW SERIES] Our favourite online stores in Dubai - Part 2: Wall Decor & Art Prints
Welcome to Part Two of our series of favourite online stores in Dubai, where we feature the coolest homegrown and independent suppliers to give them a much needed boost during these challenging times. Today is all about art prints, wallpaper, and anything to give your walls a little bit of life while you spend most of your time at home. So if you have been thinking of creating that gallery wall at home for a while but never found the energy or the time to get it sorted, then could now be the perfect time to make it happen. Drawdeck
I cannot rave about Drawdeck enough. One of our absolutely favourite suppliers of art prints and frames; we use them in our own homes regularly and on every single home styling projects. The choice of artwork on their website is phenomenal, and the quality and affordability of their framing and customer service is second to none. Definitely one to add to your bookmarks. All their artists set their own commission, so you can you know that every purchase supports an independent creative, wherever in the world they may be.
This is the latest offering by the Drawdeck team. Super clever new online service that turns your digital photographs into beautiful framed art. You can easily upload your photos from your phone, laptop or social media and have them custom framed choosing your design or use their pickup and drop off service; this allows you to have those printed photographs hanging around the house finally framed. I don’t know about you but I have a backlog of about 5 years of photos that are still waiting to be printed…
Paperpop
This is a great supplier of custom and ready made murals and wallpapers as well as art prints. We have used them successfully in so many projects in particular this gorgeous playroom last year. The Paperpop team even custom designed an existing design just for our client. It was such a success that they ended up producing it as part of their permanent collection. They have a range of high quality wallpaper options from traditional pasted wallpaper to self adhesive and include full installation and delivery in their pricing.
Poster One
A brand new supplier we have recently tried and tested for a couple of projects is Poster One. They have a great range of posters and art prints at really affordable prices. They also offer framing - although not custom but ready made so not as high quality but definitely worth considering for lower budget projects.
Artworks
Artworks is another great supplier that sells both canvas and framed art prints - ready to hang on your wall. All their prints and frames are hand made to order in Dubai and artists featured on their site receive a commission of each sale. Their framing is lovely quality and ordering and delivery service straight forward.
Vertical Design
Our new favourite place in Dubai for neon signs, this is the perfect place to get the most amazing neon sign custom made to your requirements (you can choose the text, colour, size, and font - anything is possible!) or choose from their ready made LED neon signs (the range is completely amazing!) available here.
Kids of Arabia
The brainchild of French photographer Anne Laure Roy and visual artiste Azaide, Kids of Arabia is a brilliant concept in just three steps. First, you organise a photoshoot of your kids or family with Anne Laure and get those lovely black and white shots done. Then you choose from Azaide’s stunning digital painted background and a few days later you get your personalised canvas made and sent to you. They can also work with an existing high res photo if a photoshoot in person is not possible.
e-Walls
There is probably nothing that e-walls can’t do for your walls, from wall stickers, murals, decals… Send them your requirements and they can turn them into reality using their durable vinyl materials and at affordable prices. Their vinyl decals created are easy to apply, economic and fully removable, giving you the freedom to switch things up as often as you’d like. There are hundreds of designs to choose from if you need some inspiration.
