Stella + the Stars launches La Boutique

Yes, I have gone all French on you but if you bear with me for one tiny second, I have some news that are très exciting! Drum rolls, please... I am beyond thrilled to announce that Stella + the Stars' very own virtual shop is now open for business! Here's what's exactly going on, in a simple Q&A, to avoid me digressing as always.

What is La Boutique?
La Boutique is Stella + the Stars' brand new curated e-shop where you can shop from a selection of my favourite home interior products curated from the UK's best independent design stores. 

Why launch La Boutique?
I spend all my waking hours searching out those quirky, unusual (and, may I add, budget-friendly!) must-haves and fabulous home accessories for this blog. So it made sense to create my personal, hand-picked edit of the huge range of products available out there. Basically I do the browsing and the editing for you, and you can just get on with the buying. I only select products I would actually buy myself (or actually already own!).

Sounds like it's just another online shop for home decor?!
Non, don't worry, there are enough fantastic retailers and design shops out there. La Boutique is more like a virtual shop window showcasing a carefully selected edit of pieces available from some of my favourite online stores - including Att Pynta, Lo + Behold, The Loft & Us, Made in Design, Amara, Made.com, and Scout & Co Kids, to name just a few... 

So what's the difference with the 'Star Buys' regularly featured on Le Blog?
Well, this is the exciting bit. I have teamed up with the clever peeps at Showroom so that you can shop directly from Stella + the Stars rather than have to be redirected to several different places. From La Boutique, you can buy anything through one easy-to-use basket, powered by Showroom. 

That sounds complicated. How does it work?
It's ridiculously easy. All you need to do is browse my curated collection. Once you find something you like, you can just add it to your basket/online cart, check out and pay for your order without having to leave Stella + the Stars. This means you can purchase several items from different retailers in one single transaction and payment. That bit is all done by the clever peeps at Showroom. Anything you buy is sold and sent directly by the sellers that made, sourced or selected those products. 

What is Showroom?
Showroom is basically a virtual marketplace which provides technology to help you easily buy items recommended by me. If you want to learn more about them and what they do, please click here. You'll notice that it is run by not one, but two fabulous #mumbosses, which is always a bonus in my book.

Is it secure though? How do you ensure the security of the credit card details and other information?
It's super secure. The checkout page is encrypted with SSL, and payments are processed by Stripe, a leading payments platform which meets and exceeds the most stringent security requirements for online payments. Click here for more information about the ways in which Stripe protects your information.

For every item you purchase directly through La Boutique, I'll get a small commission based on the price of the product. Mama's gotta eat...
